Friendship

I saw you when I was alone
And I saw me when you were with me.
I was not confident when I was alone
Confidence became my hallmark when you were with me.
I couldn’t enjoy my success when I was alone
It was you who helped me to celebrate my little moments.
I couldn’t walk when my heart was sunk
You made me get up and cross over the current.
When I gave you half of my friendship
You gave me and gifted me with all your friendship in return.
I was in my shell, fearing to come out
You introduced me to the world and got me applause.
When I look into the world, I find me lost in crowd
When I look into you,
I find me at the centre of the stage.
